SFSDC Tuition Policies

Tuition

Tuition is due on the 1st lesson of each month and late if not paid by the 10th of the month. If tuition is not received by the 10th of the month an $20.00 late fee will be automatically charged to your account. Summer Tuition is based on 7 weeks of classes, for our summer dance program. We charge full tuition for all studio calendar months and during scheduled season breaks. There are no cash refunds at any time. For your convenience, SFSDC offers online payments and has a drop box at the front desk. You will only receive one reminder to pay before tuition is due. You will not receive a bill in the mail. If payment is not received by the end of the month your child may be dropped from the class. In case of mandatory closures, there are no refunds or credits given to classes that were not taken.

Registration Fee

Registration Fee: New and returning student enrollment fees are $25.00 per year. The family enrollment fee per year is $40.00. Re-registration fees are applied when a student has not been active in class for 2 or more months and returns to the studio before the yearly registration fee is once again due. There are no refunds or credits given for registration fees.

Class Drop/Account Withdrawal

All class cancellations must be emailed to the studio (sfsdancecenter@hotmail.com) prior to the 20th of the month. This is so we have time to invite the next dancer on the waiting list to join the class for the following month. Credits are not given for classes dropped after the 1st of the month. If written notice is not received by the 20th of the month, you will be billed and responsible for the following month's tuition.

Full Classes: We cannot hold a place in class unless tuition is paid in full and the student is present in class. This means, that if you make the decision to take a month off, we cannot guarantee or hold you a spot in your original class and you may not be able to join that class again until the following season. Students whose tuition is not paid in full by the end of the month will be dropped from all classes in order to open a spot for another student if a waitlist is present.

Missed Classes

Makeup classes are only given when a class is missed due to an illness. They are not given because of school functions, family outings, or other non-illness-related activities. A missed class due to illness must be called on the day of the class in order to receive a makeup class time. We do not pro-rate/give refunds or credits for missed classes, private lessons, or semi-private lessons. In cases of mandated closures, we do not give refunds or credits.

Returned and Redeposit Check Fees

Returned Check Fee: $30.00 per check per occurrence. These charges will automatically be added to your account if a returned check or redeposit check occurs. Anyone with two or more returned checks will be put on a cash basis or auto-pay only.

Over Due Accounts

Accounts with outstanding balances greater than 15 days will be placed on hold and students may be removed from class or asked not to return until balances are paid in full. Accounts with outstanding balances that have shown a failure to respond to studio communications within a reasonable time frame will be closed and the student will be dropped from all classes. Tuition rates are available by calling our front office.
