My daughter started at SFS Dance when she was 12 yrs old. We had looked at other studios when she was younger but I found their costumes too sexy for young girls and basically not happy with their philosophies. So she played sports instead. A friend introduced my daughter to SFS by inviting her to one of the June Shows. That was all it took. She started in the fall that year and truly found her passion for the past 6 years. As a parent, I have been happy with the costumes (studio is considerate to all sizes and shapes), discipline, techniques and a genuine interest in the kids. Every family member or friend that I have invited to the June Show has been blown away. It is not a recital. It is an original play with adult acting and the kids dance routines. There is always a theme so the dances and costumes are in line with the play. It is so fun to watch and all my family and friends come back every year. What the studio and teachers give to make this show so amazing is spectacular. They make our kids look like stars. The teachers, other parents and kids are like family to us. We are so happy we found SFS. It has enriched our lives in so many ways.

I have been with the Santa Fe Springs Dance Studio for 16 years. I started when they were still in South gate under Showcase. That is when my oldest daughter started dancing at the age of 5 and she is now 21 and my youngest daughter started dancing when she was 4 and she is now 20 My son started when he was10 years old and he now 18. He came to me and asked to take a tap class to help make is legs stronger for sports and it only took the one class and he was hooked. Just like his two sisters before him. My son will be a senior this year and has enjoyed every minute of dancing at the studio. The studio is my second home. Lisa and Jason are wonderful people. Not only do they teach dance, but they teach children to respect each other and help those in need. The next wonderful thing about the studio is their yearly June Productions (recital) that have been happening for 26 years. The shows are great and people love coming to watch them, they aren’t just a recital is a grand musical production. The teaching staff is also another great thing. They truly care about all of the dancers. Not just those in their performing companies. The teachers and office staff thru out the years have been super. When people ask where my kids dance or have danced I proudly say "Santa Fe Springs Dance Center"!
